Pugi Mazda Testimonials A sincere THANK YOU to all our favorite customers!
The best car buying experience i ever had. Bought a new 2021 Mazda 6 hassle free. Pugi Mazda beat my previous best offer and made me feel like family. See Anthony at Pugi Mazda for your next car, you will not regret it.
In my opinion, Pugi Mazda is one of the BEST dealerships in the Midwest. I attest to this because they proved to me and my family that integrity is a standard of their business. I have bought quite a few vehicles over the years, and Pugi Mazda was the ONLY dealership to rectify a deal I wasn’t completely happy with. Communication was excellent from my thoughtful salesman Anthony to the director of operations, Gary. They took great care of me, and made my 2020 year so much brighter. We all know 2020 goes down in history, LOL. I leased a brand new beautiful CX-5. They gave me the best rate possible...even better than my pre-approved military loan. I don’t know of another dealership that can do it. Hands down NONE!! Bill and Gary treated me with the utmost respect. They listened and won my business as long as I’m in the Midwest. The best dealership, even when you’re inexperienced in car buying. Thank you Pugi Mazda for being such a BLESSING! Consuela Sanders
I just had a great used car buying experience at Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove, IL. I made an appointment for a test drive and met with Jesus (Jesse) Sánchez. He toured me around the lot and we discussed what I was looking for. He came back with keys for a couple cars to test, brought me a bottle of cold water, and we went for a drive. It was great. I wanted the car, but not immediately. Jesse explained that he couldn’t hold it, but he had similar cars arriving soon. (Absolutely no pressure to upsell, make a deposit, or make a decision.) Later in the day, I called for more information and again no pressure, and he gave complete answers. I decided that evening to buy the car, and texted him to let him know. Jesse set up an appointment for the next day and we figured the out the door price. He offered me several add-ons but didn’t pressure when I declined. The trade in pricing was generous, and the closing process was very transparent, and well explained. All in all a pleasant experience for buying a used car. I left the dealership with a great car, and feeling that I received an excellent deal from people I can trust. Mr. Jesse Sanchez is an example of how a sales consultant works well with a customer and makes the dealership look good!
I recently purchased my very first Mazda,, and I am loving it!! The whole buying process was pretty painless from start to finish.. CJ worked with me and explained everything I needed to know about the car and followed up in a timely manner whenever I emailed him. Finance Manager Randy made the whole process easy and pleasant.. I know - not something you look forward to but working with Randy I didn't feel pressured. I got a chance to work with Chris Jones in service as well.. He answered and addressed all my concerns. And thanks to Bill Richey for all his help getting this sale finalized.
Alex Barraza and Bill Richey are exceptional!! My husband and I recently leased a vehicle from Pugi Mazda. We just experienced possibly the very best customer service of all time! First, the dealership stands by their full disclosure policy - something unfortunately most dealerships do not adhere to; we were shown every detail of the quote, which both Bill and Alex took their time to explain to us. Second, the numbers we were quoted by Bill, were EXACTLY what we paid (no "oh...by the way..."). Katie from Finance was outstanding! Even on an extremely busy Saturday, she got us in and out without us feeling rushed. She took her time to explain every nuance of the deal. Great customer service! Lastly, both Alex and Bill continue to respond to our questions on a timely basis, whether it is a phone call, email or a quick stop-in. We are so impressed with the high level of integrity this team displayed that there is no doubt in our minds, we are definitely coming back! Oh, did I mention....my husband used to sell cars?? HE is exceptionally impressed and that is hard to achieve. Keep up the great work! Jim and Vikki V. :-)
I found Andreas, the salesman, to be honest and easy to work with. He was not pushy and was very patient. The finance person, Katie, was terrific. I left there feeling like I got a good deal that was fair to all involved. Great selection and excellent car buying experience.
I was in the market for a used Mazda 3. After doing a few days of research, I made a list of cars I wanted to go see, and planned a day with my dad to go see all of them. After going to all three dealers to see the cars on my list, I hadn't driven a car that I was excited about buying. So I went back on cars.com and found another car at Pugi that I thought was worth a look. I called the dealer and got CJ. He was super friendly, and even though I had only given him about 30 minutes' notice, he said he'd have the car ready for me when I got there. When we arrived, CJ was out to meet us within 30 seconds, and within 5 minutes, he had made a copy of my license, grabbed a plate and the keys, and we were on a test drive. We got to chatting on the test drive, and I could immediately tell he was a car guy. It was refreshing to have a salesperson who knew the cars inside and out and was as passionate about them as I am. When we got back to the dealer, we looked over the whole car carefully, and then went inside to discuss it further. He showed us the carfax and the car had damage to the front reported about a year prior, but there was no evidence of any damage on the car's bodywork or anything in the engine bay. I was a little wary about this. I have been burned before by falling in love with a car and ignoring the warning signs. He explained the difference between a damage report and an accident report (in a nutshell, if there is a second vehicle involved in any way, carfax calls it an accident. Anything else is considered "damage" and this includes things like bumping into a pole or hitting trash cans.) This made me feel a little better but I wanted to be sure there was nothing wrong with it, so I asked him if he could put the car up on the lift for me. He said yes immediately, and went to see if there were any free lifts in the service center. There weren't any right then, all five were taken, so he offered us snacks and drinks, then went back to check on them just five minutes later. He talked the mechanics into getting us in ahead of the next oil change and got the car up on the lift. He got all of this done within ten minutes. Everything under the car looked great. There was almost no surface rust, even the exhaust was still rust free. It was hard to believe the car had been through three winters. Once I was satisfied, he sent us back inside, and got the car down off the lift. He took care of all the basic paperwork stuff, and then he had us wait in the waiting room for finance. Katy was out to meet us before we even sat down. And CJ said he would go get everything in the car ready and do a final cleaning (there was no dirt in the car it was beautifully detailed. I think he basically meant taking the papers off the windows) for us while we got the financing squared away. Katy was super friendly and helpful with getting the financing all taken care of. This is the first car I have had to finance part of, and she made sure I understood every bit of the process and exactly what I was signing. She did not try to push any extras on me. She explained the two warranties that they offered, and they were way more reasonably priced than I expected, but when I declined she didn't try to convince me or anything. All told, from the time we pulled into the parking lot to when I was driving out the door in my new car, it was just under 2.5 hours. I live about an hour north of this dealer. I wouldn't have considered them if I wasn't already half way there visiting other dealers. I would not hesitate to make the drive down to buy my next vehicle. One final thing: I am a 22 year old guy and I was there with my dad, but everyone there always talked to me. They treated me like I was any other customer, and didn't look to my dad for answers or show any signs that they didn't think that this was my decision. It's hard to explain, but basically, I felt respected the entire time and I really appreciated that.
Purchased a vehicle from Pugi Mazda and it was the best experience ever. Bill Richey and Jessie made my day. I would recommend them to anyone.
I just went in to drive the car, and left with the deal I was looking for. What a pleasant surprise! Eric did a great job working with us and made the entire experience easy and low key. Katy in finance was patient and helpful throughout. The folks at Pugi made it easy.
Definitely the best car buying experience I have had in my 63 years of life. I have been researching many different makes and models of used cars over various app platforms. Luckily Cars.Com came up with an outstanding match offered by Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove. I was familar with Pugi's reputation because my daughter had a great experience with them 4 years ago. I emailed Jackie Hefner with an availabily request. She answered very quickly and was very pleasant even though i had to reschedule a few times. She respected my privacy by not pestering me like many other dealerships. We finally made the connection and i met Chad who was very pleasant and patient with my question. We had showed up 2 and a half hours late on July 3rd 30 minutes before closing. The car was available for an immediate test drive. While we were drining he did an appraisal of my trade in. We loved the car and found that our trade in was appraised for more than we expected. The contract and financing was painless. No games, everything was straight forward and we were new car owners in a fraction of the time other purchases had taken. No aspirin needed. It was defunitely the best experience. In fact i am running back down because the Finance manager found a better deal with another bank and adding more warranty coverage. Who does this? Pugi does! Over and above expectations.
Had a 1pm appointment and by 2 deal was done. Price given by Anthony and internet group was outstanding. They honored the trade about I had by a third party, in my favor. There was NO PRESSURE to by at any time. Spent most of my in finance with Katy and by her own admission she is meticulous and thorough but I enjoyed the conversation so I felt I was in good hands. Dennis was outstanding at delivery and I appreciated his help all along the way. They really took good care of me. Thanks guys.
I was pleasantly surprised with the low pressure buying process for my Mazda 6 on January 26, 2019. Rudy of internet sales was very straightforward in giving me the full price breakdown. Other dealers didn't reply when I asked for additional pricing details. Dennis in the showroom was an expert on the Mazda 6 and answered all my questions. Bill was great in terms of agreeing on a fair price in a low pressure environment. Katy in financing was also great. I was never asked to buy paint sealant or window etching etc. I highly recommend this dealer!
I went to Pugi Mazda today for service basic oil and filter change, tire rotation and diagnostic check of engine. Worked with service advisor Joel. Excellent experience. Highly recommend service at this dealership.
I went to Pugi Hyundai to get an oil change and found myself on the Mazda showroom floor while waiting. I had absolutely no intention of buying a car that day. Erick took us on a test drive and the car (CX-5) blew me away. I still wasn't prepared in any way to pull the trigger but wanted to at least find out a little more about pricing. Erick was very patient with me through the whole process and before I knew it, we were talking about the pricing of the car I just test drove. What?! I came in for an oil change! Yet- I didn't feel pressured. I had done my research, I knew I *wanted* a new car but I didn't need one. Speaking logically about the purchase, Erick sold me on the car. He stayed until after the place closed to make sure I went on my way in one piece. Great experience.
I can't say enough about sales person Mathew Goldstein, friendly, knowledgeable, to-the-point, willing to go the extra mile. I came in to see a specific car but drove a couple of other models. I also had a trade but also had KBB, NADA book prices. I didn't have to haggle over price because they had the lowest $ from Car Gurus. Matt made getting the car such a pleasurable experience as it should be. I was also on a time crunch and Matt accommodated me to the extreme - although it was a cash deal. I can't say enough about Matt's knowledge about the process, inventory and willingness to make the process fast. He is a fantastic salesman but also very truthful and sincere. I will do business with Pugi again because of him. Thanks again. Jim Scholtz.
The service provided was outstanding. Joel walked me through the repair sequence and the timing involved to complete the work. He called later in the day to inform me during the full circle inspection they found a leak in the transfer case breather vent assembly and repaired it since it was under an extended warranty. I previously notice three drops of fluid on the garage floor but did not see it again, so I chose to ignore it when I brought the car in and did not mention it.
Jessie was extremely nice and extremely friendly and very knowledgeable she deserves a big raise. CHRIS WAS GOOD ALSO. I buy a lot of cars. I'm in a lot of dealerships. I don't know what's going to happen with my relationship here down the line but for now this place was very impressive. Yeah and I am amongst other things a professional actor I would love to do a commercial with mr.pugi!
This was my first time buying a car and Matt Goldstein made me feel no pressure, he was very helpful showed me everything I needed to know! I am very happy with my purchase and would tell anyone to take a look at Pugi!
This past weekend was my first time buying a brand new car and Pugi made it a great experience! Our sales person was Joseph Lyons. He normally deals with online sales but he didn't hesitate to assist us on the sales floor. He was personable, humorous, patient, easy to get along with, he worked with us and our budget, he answered our questions honestly and never pressured us. We stopped at a few other dealerships before this one and this was the most pleasant experience out of all of them, which made our decision even easier. We highly recommend going to Pugi if you want great customer service and a reliable great looking vehicle. We also give Joseph Lyons the highest rating possible! He made this important decision come together perfectly!
Mirta Guerrero explain us every detail inside and out of the mazda CX5. She is a very pleasant person to talk too. iam urging my girlfriend to trade her car with you guys.
This is my second vehicle I have purchased from Pugi and the experience I have had both throughout the purchase and during the last three years with the service department has been outstanding. From the top (Mike) down this is a friendly and service oriented dealership that I would recommend to all.
They're very accommodating, and they give me a lot of options to purchase. I am very happy with my Mazda CX-5! Will recommend them to my friends and family.
This past weekend was my first time buying a car and Pugi made it a great experience! I had been talking to my salesman Jesse for a months about purchasing a Mazda 3. He's been very patient and kept constant contact with me the entire time over the course of the past few months. When my mom and I walked into the dealership, he immediately grabbed the exact car I was looking for and had it waiting for us. He was very honest and never pressured us. Mike the finance guy was really nice also and was also pretty honest with us about how much I would be paying. Also, if you want competitive pricing on your car insurance I would suggest talking to the Allstate representitive they have on hand there named Parnell. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable and gave us really great information about changing my policy. I was expecting to be stuck there all day, but surprisingly we were only there for a few hours. Most dealerships are shady and require you not to expect much out of them, but I was extremely happy with my experience at Pugi and I highly recommend going there if you want to purchase a Mazda!
They were going out of their way for me to have a car sent to Downers Grove. I ended up buying one they already had. I would highly recommend all the people here.
I apologize in advance if this is excessively verbose, this will be a long read. I've read numerous reviews. Products, restaurants, home repair, vacation rentals, cellular providers, phone apps, car dealers, you name it. At the very least, hundreds, probably thousands. Far too many to remember. I've never written one, until now. I feel that my recent experience with Pugi Mazda and the individuals involved in my episode more than merit that others should hear. Maybe even demands it. This was my second purchase from a Pugi dealership. My prior purchase from Pugi VW went smoothly, friendly, and quickly. Zero pressure. Easy, friendly negotiation led to an excellent price, and their offer for my trade was more than fair. Even the finance office was a breeze. A positive experience all around, I was happy to recommend Pugi to anyone who asked. All those things applied to my recent purchase as well. I generally dread car dealerships. I've lived and suffered through some of the stereotypical horror stories we all hear about, but in my experience, Pugi just isn't like that at all. My first purchase makes for a nice anecdote. Twice is no fluke. Pugi Mazda did not have the trim/color/interior combo in stock that I asked for, but they located one nearby and traded for it. I arrived on a Tuesday evening to complete the deal, and everything went great, just like the last time. I took delivery and drove the car home. The next day (Wednesday), while showing the car to a friend, I noticed a nasty dent right up against the sunroof that I had missed the night before. There metal was creased and the paint was chipped. Immediate dread. All I could hear in my head was "Uh oh..." (not quite the exact words I was thinking). I went straight back to the dealer, and there was much discussion and uncertainty as to what might've happened and the next course of action. I was insistent that the damage had not occurred in my possession, but even I could gather that while I was telling the truth, of course anyone would say that, regardless. The sales manager, Kiwon Kim, was very calm and very friendly, and offered to fix any and all damage. I replied that I didn't want a repaired car, I wanted a new, pristine one. We discussed that for awhile, and Mr Kim said he simply did not have the authority to approve it on his own. Further, the general manager was away on business and would not be available until Friday at the earliest (this was still Wednesday evening). The owner was currently out of the country altogether. The voices in my head all said "Uh oh..." (well, not quite). The next morning (Thursday), Mr Kim called back and told me that he'd spoken by phone with the general manager, and they were going to replace the car. I said, "Wow, really?!", and he repeated it, just as calm and warm and friendly as could possibly be. The only problem was that they couldn't find a car locally that exactly matched my purchase. There might be one up in Green Bay, or would I be willing to substitute another color. I asked him to please check on the one that matched. He replied that was no problem, but should it work out, would I be ok with the extra miles on the odometer after driving the car back to Chicagoland. I said no problem, he said he'd get back to me asap. Mr Kim called back within an hour to say that that the Green Bay dealer had actually traded that car to a dealer in the Chicago area, and I could have it that afternoon. Not only that, it had been transported by truck, no excess miles. Wow. I returned a few minutes after 4pm. The car was ready. Back into the finance office to nullify the old docs and sign new ones, swap the plates, move my stuff, and I was out the door in the new car by 5, without ever being asked to spend another dime. It wasn't even Friday yet. For me, more than what these good, kind people did, more than the obvious happy ending, was they way they did it. Openly, calmly, always positive. With smiles and good will all around. And let's face it, I'd given my ok, signed the docs, and accepted delivery two days prior. They could have stopped at the cosmetic fix. They could have simply hung me out to dry. They did neither. They went all the way, made it whole, made it right. I have never experienced a commitment to customer service and satisfaction on this level. Everyone involved all said the same thing, that commitment to the client is instilled in everyone there, from the top down. That their owner, Mr Dominic Pugliani, is just one of those rare, special individuals, and that it's contagious. I've seen him many times in different visits, and I have noticed that he looks you right in the eye, and he is always smiling. So I guess I'm a believer, it's not just Koolaid. I would like to specifically thank: Matt Goldstein, sales consultant Mike Kapak, finance manager Kiwon Kim, sales manager Mike Mizwicki, general manager Dominic Pugliani, president Each and every one of these fine people walk the walk. Thank you all for teaching me to never again paint all car dealers with one single broad brush. I hope I'm set for cars for the next several years. But should the need arise, the first place I will visit will be a Pugi dealership. Based on personal experience, I doubt I will find any need to visit a second.
